Blocton and Martin named Montgomery Biscuits High School Sports Athletes of the Week
Only one boys and one girls athlete can be named the Montgomery Biscuits High School Sports Athlete of the Week. Here's who our readers voted as the top boys and the top girls performer for the week of Nov. 6-10.Pike Road's Malik Blocton and Brew Tech’s Erin Martin have each been voted Montgomery Biscuits High School Sports Athlete of the Week for their performances last week. The winners were selected in an online voting poll.
Blocton returned an interception 64 yards for a touchdown in a 10-9 playoff victory over Homewood in the opening round of the 2023 AHSAA Playoffs. The four-star Auburn football commit ended the regular season with eight sacks in a two-game span.
Brewbaker Tech basketball star Erin Martin reached 1,000 career points in a 55-37 victory over JAG last week. Martin finished with 31 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and four steals. While shooting 10 for 10 from the free throw line.
