LaGrange Park Ill. Nazareth Academy junior cornerback recruit Devin Blakely (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) was able to visit Iowa State on Saturday and came away with his second overall scholarship offer. Blakely, who's off to a strong start this fall talks about his impressions from Ames, Iowa and more here.

"I was able to get out to Iowa State for the game against Iowa," Blakely said. "Iowa State offered me a scholarship before the game and it felt great to get an offer."

Blakely filled us in on his impressions from Iowa State.

"It was a great game and Iowa State had just a great atmosphere. Everything at Iowa State was pretty nice. The fans at Iowa State were just really into the game and they really support the team. I had a chance to see the indoor facility along with the weight room at Iowa State. They offered me a scholarship before the game against Iowa. I wasn't sure they would offer me but Isaiah (Lee) was telling me that the Iowa State coaches really liked me and wanted me to come visit them. Once I got onto campus I just felt a really good vibe and they really showed me a lot of attention at Iowa State, so after that I had a good feeling an offer was coming. Overall it was really impressive at Iowa State and I had a great visit."

Does Blakely have any other college game day visits planned?

"I'm heading to Northwestern for a game this Saturday. That'd the only game day visit I have planned for now but I'm sure I'll get out to a few more schools this season."

So who else has been in touch with Blakely so far in September?

"I still stay in touch with Bowling Green along with Iowa State, Illinois, Penn State, Syracuse and also Central Michigan."
