Bills WR Cole Beasley removed from NFI list

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley has been removed from the team’s Active/ NFI (non-football injury) list on Wednesday. According to the team, Beasley had a back injury.

Beasley, 31, is entering the second year of a four-year deal he signed with the Bills last offseason. At the time of the injury, NFL Network reported that the injury was said to be not serious. Beasley originally landed on the NFI list on July 29.

Beasley caught 67 passes for 778 receiving yards last season for the Bills. He tied a career-high with six touchdowns as well, including one against his former team on Thanksgiving Day, the Cowboys.

His injury designation came about as players were reporting to training camp. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, players won’t be suiting up in pads until at least mid-August anyway. Tentatively, the Bills’ first practice with pads on will be on Monday.
