Bills vs. Panthers: 3 key matchups in Week 15

The Buffalo Bills will face the Carolina Panthers in their latest matchup in 2021 during Sunday’s Week 15 meeting.

Regardless of the higher stakes due to the playoff race, the games, within the game, will still make all the difference.

With that, here are three key matchups to watch between the Bills (7-6) and Panthers (5-8):

A battle of heavyweights, clearly the Bills are going to continue riding the are of quarterback Josh Allen on offense. That means wide receiver Stefon Diggs will factor into the game plan.

That is, unless another Stef in Stephon Gilmore has something to say about it. The former Bills first-round pick and now ex-Patriots defender has been one of the best to do it in the NFL in recent seasons. So has Diggs.

From the neutral standpoint, this should be fun one to watch.

The Bills have struggled against run in recent weeks having faced a couple of teams that have a good attack. Buffalo is not facing an excellent rushing offense in the Panthers.

Not bad, but by no means one of the NFL’s best consider their top playmaker in Christian McCaffrey is out. And we know it doesn’t all come down to linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. But let’s see something better out of him against running back Chuba Hubbard this week.

The Bills offensive line consistently leaves something to be desired as a whole. Rookie Spencer Brown included.

Last week, Brown had a tough go and it’s not going to get any easier. Haason Reddick will bring his 10.5 sacks with him to Buffalo. Can Brown make sure he doesn’t add to that? Buffalo and Allen hope not.
