Bills’ Josh Allen, ‘most starters’ to play vs. Broncos in preseason

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said most starters on his team, including quarterback Josh Allen, will see playing time against the Denver Broncos.

The Bills face the Broncos in the second week of their 2022 preseason schedule at Highmark Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.

“I’m not going to get into how much they’ll play, but I’ll just say the starters will play a health amount–what I consider a healthy amount, this week,” McDermott said via video conference. “[Until] what quarter? Really couldn’t tell you right now.”

“That’ll be most starters, not all starters,” McDermott added.

In Buffalo’s first preseason contest against the Indianapolis Colts, most starters did not play at all.

The Bills could be deciding to play their top players on Saturday because it’s the team’s last preseason game at home and in case any injuries do strike.

The timetable would give players extra time to heal up before the season opener as opposed to having starters play in the preseason finale.
