This is when Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft are expected to meet

The date is reportedly set for the much-anticipated end-of-the-season meeting between New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and owner Robert Kraft.

Per ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the two pillars of the Patriots franchise will come together on Monday, following the team’s season finale against the New York Jets, to discuss the fallout from the 2023 season and how to proceed forward.

“Here’s my understanding of what’s going to unfold,” Reiss said, when appearing on ESPN’s “Get Up”. “Team owner Robert Kraft, team president Jonathan Kraft, have a meeting with Bill Belichick that is currently scheduled for Monday. And they’re going to be looking for some answers as to why things have fallen off so dramatically this season.”

Reiss reported that people close with Kraft claim he has shown “extreme” levels of disappointment to how the team has performed this season, but he still hasn’t made a decision on Belichick’s future.

It would seem as if everything could be riding on Monday’s meeting.

The Boston Sports Journal’s Greg Bedard reported earlier in the week Belichick is expected to “go in on the offensive” in his final meeting with Kraft. So he could come in with a game plan of a way to turn things around.

If that plan is appealing enough to Kraft, there’s a chance Belichick could be coaching the Patriots again in 2024. If not, it would officially bring an end to a historic era in New England.
