For many football fans, the visual of Bill Belichick at Alabama’s pro day is an overwhelming clash of evil empires.

The New England Patriots coach’s attendance in Tuscaloosa to watch Alabama draft prospects work out has become an annual occurrence. And Belichick, along with many other NFL coaches and executives, was in attendance on Tuesday ... wearing an Alabama shirt.

Belichick and Alabama coach Nick Saban are longtime friends. And Alabama getting Belichick to wear the school’s gear is a nice little recruiting coup, even if Alabama doesn’t need any other recruiting advantages. It’s always nice to show players you’re recruiting a picture of one of the most successful NFL coaches of all time in an Alabama shirt.
