Big scoring nights: Vote for the High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week
Canton High's Jeremiah Predin has been voted the High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week.
The senior received over 27,000 votes to earn that honor. He scored 23 points and grabbed 9 rebounds ina 77-71 win over Milford.
And this week's candidates are...
Shamus Hanlon, Calvary Chapel Academy: Hanlon scored 26 points in a 67-64 overtime win over Atlantis Charter.
Isaiah Green, Soph., Hull: Green scored a game-high 28 points in a loss to Randolph.
Michael Porter, Sr., Scituate: Porter scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a 64-54 win over Hingham.
Hunter Wood + Kobe Nguyen, North Quincy: Wood scored 12 of his 20 points in a 55-48 win over Plymouth North. Nguyen notched a career-high 30 points in a 71-65 win over Quincy.
Zach Falls, Sr., Duxbury: Falls scored 37 points in an 86-73 win over Pembroke.
Patrick Jackson, Fr., South Shore Tech: Jackson scored 31 points in a 65-37 win over Bristol Aggie.
John Francois, Sr., Brockton: Francois scored 24 points in the Boxers' 55-41 loss to New Bedford.
Edric Loissaint, Sr., Weymouth: Louissaint scored a career-high 30 points in a 75-50 win over Wellesley.
Tristan Rodriguez, Sr., Archbishop Williams: Rodriguez scored 25 points in a 73-58 win over Bishop Stang.
Jack Balzarini, Jr., Carver: Balzarini scored 24 points in a win over Hull.
Jackson Davenport, Jr., Middleboro: Davenport finished with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in a 65-62 win over Rockland.
Caleb and Ryan Baker, Whitman-Hanson: The brothers starred in a win over Marshfield. Ryan scored 22 points while Caleb added 16.
Troy Chase, Soph., Plymouth North: Chase canned seven 3-pointers and finished with 23 points in a 60-49 win over Silver Lake.
George Anastos, Sr., Keefe Tech: Anastos led the Broncos with 15 points in a loss to Bay Path Thursday.
Simon Bleier, Sr., Westborough: Bleier hit a 3-pointer with about a minute remaining to seal a 58-57 win over Shepherd Hill on Wednesday, leading the way with 14 points.
Anthony DeLuca, Sr., Hopkinton: DeLuca led three Hillers in double figures with 15 points in a 68-41 win over Millis. Cooper Willadsen and Jack Ianelli scored 14 each for Hopkinton (7-2, 7-1 TVL). Sean Ryan hit two 3s and had 12 points for Millis (4-6, 2-3).
Niko Chaplain, Fr., + Braden DeZutter, Sr., AMSA: DeZutter paced the Eagles with 18 points and six assists in a 66-33 win over Parker Charter Friday, while Chaplain stuffed the stat sheet with seven points, six assists, 10 rebounds and six steals. Earlier in the week, Chaplain scored 11 points and DeZutter had nine in a loss to Bay Path.
Ryan Dooley, Sr., Lincoln-Sudbury: Dooley led three Warriors in double figures with 14 points and six rebounds in a 57-49 win over Newton South.
Dante Jeremic, Jr., Natick: Jeremic led the way with 22 points as the host Redhawks (7-2) earned a big 61-57 win over Needham.
Patrick Madden, Jr., Hopedale: Madden carried the load for the Blue Raiders on Friday with 20 points in a 36-28 win over Sutton. He scored 15 of them in the second quarter as Hopedale built a lead. Earlier in the week, Madden powered the Blue Raiders with 17 points in a 42-35 win over Whitinsville Christian.
James McKinney, Jr., Nipmuc: McKinney posted a massive double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds Thursday, but the Warriors fell 62-51 against Douglas at home.
Mason Melchionda + Jono Windle, Srs., Dover-Sherborn: Melchionda and Windle each scored 15 points for the Raiders in a 66-47 win over Ashland on Friday.
Jackson O’Brien, Sr., Hudson: O'Brien scored 22 points for the Hawks in a 53-43 win over Quabbin. Earlier in the week, O’Brien scored 12 points in a road loss to Lunenburg.
Matt Parlon, Jr., + Caden Reisman, Sr., Medway: The point guard Parlon scored 24 points Wednesday in a 62-54 win over Holliston. Two days later, Reisman scored 26 points in a tight 52-51 loss to Westwood on Friday.
Andrew Rivera, Jr., Milford: Rivera (25 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists) was immense, leading the way in an 81-72 win at Taunton.
Robbie Rudisill, Jr., Ashland: Rudisill scored 25 points, 17 in the second half, to lead the Clockers in a 60-53 win over Dedham.
Caden Sullivan, Jr., Franklin: Sullivan led the way with 18 points as the Panthers (11-1) rallied from going down 10-0 to start with a 68-56 victory at North Attleborough.
