Could Arizona and Arizona State be the next teams to join the Big 12 Conference? The two Pac-12 teams lead Big 12 expansion odds.

The Big 12 Conference has voted to bring back Colorado, clearing the way for the Buffaloes to rejoin the conference after being in the Pac-12 since 2011.

And the conference may not be done adding teams.

Expansion speculation is swirling around the Big 12 and the Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils are in the middle of that speculation, with several writers extolling the virtues of the Arizona schools leaving the Pac-12 for the Big 12.

How likely is it that Arizona and Arizona State would bolt for the Big 12?

Well, if some recent Big 12 expansion odds are any indication, Wildcats and Sun Devils fans might want to start getting ready for a switch in conference affiliation for their teams.

Big 12 expansion odds: Arizona, Arizona State favorites

The two Arizona schools lead recent Sportsline.com Big 12 expansion odds to be the next teams to bolt for the Big 12, with Arizona at +300 and Arizona State at +400.

Matt Severance wrote of the odds: "Arizona has been the more engaged and more closely targeted school than Utah and Arizona State. Arizona president Bobby Robbins has said no decisions will be made until there's clarity on the Pac-12's television deal, but Colorado bolting could change the dynamic. If Arizona leaves for the Big 12, ASU almost surely will eventually do so as well."

Utah is third in Sportsline's odds at +600, with UConn fourth at +700. Gonzaga (+1200), San Diego State (+1500) and Memphis (+2000) round out the odds.

Severance wrote: "While Utah might bring a better football program than Arizona would, the Wildcats in theory bring the Phoenix TV market and one of the top basketball programs in the country -- and Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark has made it no secret that he wants his league to be leaps and bounds better than all the others in men's hoops. The Arizona football program might actually be on the rise as well under Jedd Fisch -- he has recruited quite well."
