Betting: NFC South Futures
Frank Schwab gives his best futures bets for the NFC South in the upcoming 2023 NFL season.

- This is Frank Schwab of Yahoo Sports, and I'm here to bring you my best future bets for the NFC South this season. And I'm going to start in Atlanta, taking the Falcons plus-275 to win the division. I also don't mind plus-180 to make the playoffs. If you think somebody like the Saints wins the division, the Falcons might get a wildcard spot.
They have a really easy schedule this year. That's going to help. But this offense is really ready to make strides. I'm not a big fan of Desmond Ridder, but he has so much talent around him and Arthur Smith is going to know how to get the most out of it.
This Falcons team in a really, really weak division is going to take a step forward. I think they do win the division, at least make the playoffs. It's going to be a good growth season in Atlanta.
Moving on to the Carolina Panthers, I'm going to take Bryce Young to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. Bijan Robinson, we just talked about the Atlanta Falcons, he's going to have a big year, but voters like quarterbacks. Bryce Young was the number one pick of the draft. He's going to step right in as the starter. I think he could have a big season.
He was clearly the best quarterback in this draft. Plus-450 odds-- not even the favorite to win that award, because Bijan Robinson is. I do like sprinkling a little bit on Bryce Young to win that award.
And closing it out, I'm going to go with the Buccaneers under 6.5 wins. Look, we all knew when they signed Tom Brady, whenever Brady retired, it was going to be a rough stretch for them. And here it is. They had to scramble a little bit when Brady retired.
They got Baker Mayfield in there to play quarterback. Mayfield hasn't been very good the past couple of years. Forget about that comeback win he had with the Rams so memorably, he really hasn't been that good in a while. And I don't think this Buccaneers team, which is aging in its roster, is good enough to support him. So I'm going to take Buccaneers under 6.5 wins.
