Best social media reactions to Tiger Woods, 48, making Masters cut by setting record

Tiger Woods is playing over the weekend.

On a day that the five-time major champion had to finish out the final five holes from Thursday's first round, Woods once again played a conservative and masterful 18 holes on Friday at Augusta National Golf Club to finish on par in the second round at the 2024 Masters Tournament.

With a strong showing in the first two rounds — 1-over par at 75 total — Woods surpassed Gary Player and Fred Couples in the history books as he earned his record-setting 24th straight made cut in The Masters.

"I've been lucky enough, I've been able to play this event for all these years and I did miss a cut when I was an amateur but as a pro, I've done well," Woods told ESPN's Michael Eaves in the clubhouse after he finished his day. "It's just an amazing aura that Augusta National has and I've been lucky enough to have been coming here since I was what 19 years old."

Come Sunday, it will mark Wood's 100th career round at the Masters — a true legend when it comes to the history of The Masters, as still highlighted by his thrilling 2019 finish.
