The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center high school Athlete of the Week voting occurs each week during high school sports competition and recognizes athletes across all sports.

If you can't see the ballot when you scroll to the bottom of this story, try refreshing the link or clearing the cache in your browser. Voters can cast one vote per hour per device. You do not have to be a subscriber to vote.

Please do not email your votes; they will not count. Nominations and votes are not the same things.

Athletes are on this week's ballot based on information made available to The Dispatch, and nominations made over the past week.

High school sports: 2022-23 Athletes of the week

Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. If athletes haven't won in the regular season, they can be nominated more than once.

The Dispatch staff reserves the right to remove ballots or athletes from the ballot where voting irregularities have occurred.

Here are this week's Athlete of the Week candidates:

Matthew Boyd, New Albany soccer: Scored the game’s only goal in a win over Olentangy Orange. He has 8 goals this season.

Brady Catalano, Upper Arlington golf: Shot a 67 to take medalist honors at the Division I sectional tournament at Denison Golf Club.

Cameron Goddard, Johnstown soccer: Scored six goals in a 7-1 victory over Zanesville.

Malik Kamara, Central Crossing football: Rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries in a 33-27 win over Newark.

Robert Lathon, Hartley football: Rushed for 171 yards on 20 carries in a 15-12 win over DeSales.

Kaynen Lindsey, Johnstown football: Rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-24 win over Utica.

Beckett Long, Granville football: Completed 14 of 25 passes for 217 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 28 yards on four carries in a 41-0 win over Zanesville.

Steele Meister, Newark football: Completed 17 of 24 passes for 277 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 82 yards on 21 carries in a 33-27 loss to Central Crossing.

Charlee Palmer, Lakewood volleyball: Had 18 kills and 23 digs in a 3-1 loss to Utica and 16 kills, 19 digs and two aces in a win over Miller.

Hayden Rodgers, Licking Valley football: Passed for 273 yards and two touchdowns, rushed for 69 yards and three touchdowns and recovered a fumble in a 35-28 win over Linsly (W.Va.).

Alec Rothe, Dublin Scioto volleyball: Had 41 Kills, a .378 hitting efficiency, 24 Digs, five blocks and nine aces in wins over Watterson, Franklin Heights and Delaware Hayes. Against Watterson, she had a triple double in kills, digs and receives. As a middle blocker she has a serve receive of 2.17 and serve rating of 2.48.

Emma Roush, Heath soccer: Had three goals and two assists in a 5-1 win over New Lexington.

Mayci Sayre, Newark soccer: Scored five goals in a 13-0 victory over Groveport.

Jaylyn Thornton, Watkins Memorial soccer: Scored five goals in a 12-0 win over Heath.

Kaseem Wade, Canal Winchester football: Rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries in a 35-14 win over Westerville South.

Zack Weber, Watterson football: Had 204 total yards and two touchdowns (175 rushing, 29 receiving) and had four tackles and a sack in a 41-7 win over St. Charles.

Bekah Williams, Delaware Christian volleyball: Had 50 kills, 58 digs and five aces on 33/35 serving in wins over Tree of Life, Shekinah Christian and Liberty Christian.

Payton Yonce, Olentangy Berlin football: Had two sacks, three tackles for loss and 7 total tackles in a 31-17 win over Dublin Jerome.
