Best Fantasy Football waiver wire pickups for Week 13
After the 12th full slate of regular season action, the NFL and fantasy football are in the back half of their years.
If you had a tough injury in Week 12, you just didn’t get the production from one of your players that you expected or you have a player on bye, we’ll scan the waiver wire. For potential pickups, we’ll consider players who are available in at least 50% of ESPN fantasy leagues.
Let’s take a look at some of the potential waiver wire pickups that could help your teams heading into Week 13 of the NFL campaign.
Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers (48.0%)
Love’s young weapons are starting to come on in Green Bay, and it’s helped him average 21.4 per game over the past three weeks.
The Packers play the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13, which isn’t a great matchup, but there are a ton of bye weeks and injuries at the position this week that make Love a streaming option.
Chuba Hubbard, RB, Carolina Panthers (48.6%)
Miles Sanders hasn’t accomplished much in Carolina since signing there this past offseason, leaving a strong workload for Hubbard in his third season with the Panthers.
Last week, he scored 20.2 points in PPR leagues due to his five receptions and a touchdown.
Carolina is in the middle of a coaching change, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown rely more on the running game going forward.
Jayden Reed, WR, Green Bay Packers (31.5%)
Over the last three weeks, Reed has averaged 17.9 points, as he’s been one of Love’s go-to targets.
The Week 13 matchup against the Chiefs isn’t the greatest for wideouts, but he should have some easier games through the end of the season.
Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers (41.9%)
The Steelers made a coaching change last week, removing Matt Canada from the offensive coordinator position.
That move opened things up for Freiermuth to be used more in Week 12 than he had been in any other week this year.
If he’s going to get near 10 targets going forward, that should make him one of the best-producing tight ends.
Colts, D/ST (15.8%)
The Colts have had one of the best defenses in the league over their last three games, averaging 17.4 points per contest.
They’ll take on the Tennessee Titans this week, who haven’t exactly been the most productive offense this season.
