Mar. 10—Boys basketball
Exeter senior Reece Garvin scored a career-high 26 points and had 10 rebounds in the Eagles' 67-60 win over Upper Dublin in the first round of the PIAA Class 5A playoffs.
Girls basketball
Wyomissing junior Amaya Stewart scored 14 points in the Spartans' 43-22 win over Carver Engineering and Science in the first round of the PIAA Class 4A playoffs.
Boys wrestling
Daniel Boone senior Tucker Hogan defeated Northern York's Cole Bartram 5-2 to repeat as the PIAA Class 3A 189-pound champion at the PIAA championships.
Girls wrestling
Reading High sophomore Esmeralda Tellez earned a bronze medal at the inaugural PIAA Girls Wrestling Championships. Tellez pinned Bryce Snyder of Palisades in 4:38 in the third-place bout.
