Bengals dramatic underdogs in 2022 Super Bowl odds

The Super Bowl is now officially in the rearview mirror with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking down the Kansas City Chiefs and kicking off the offseason.

While there is one major important takeaway from the Super Bowl for the Cincinnati Bengals, it’s also interesting to see how oddsmakers out of Las Vegas feel about the team’s chances next year.

Over at BetMGM., the Bengals are massive longshots for the 2022 Super Bowl at +8000. That’s a line tied with the Lions, Texans and Jets.

Until Zac Taylor can prove otherwise, it’s probably a fair line too given the team’s miserable record over the last two seasons.

That said, if the Bengals properly attack the offensive line this offseason and add weapons around Joe Burrow and pass rushers to the defense, the team could quickly be back in the .500 hunt or potentially better.

Given the team’s updated cap space situation and the fact they will pick second in each round of the draft, the Bengals have plenty of assets to work with while trying to make these odds look wrong in hindsight.
