Bengals Beaten by Patriots, 43-17
The Cincinnati defense had no answer for A.J. Green, but it would prove not enough to avoid a crushing loss for the Bengals against the Patriots, 43-17, in Foxborough.
Andy Dalton found the end zone two times on 15 of 24 passing for 204 yards and no interceptions. For the Patriots, Tom Brady wound up 23 for 35 with 292 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Giovani Bernard rushed for 62 yards on 13 carries and had two receptions for 10 yards. Green was a top receiver, catching five balls for 81 yards with a score and one fumble.
The Cincinnati defense fell apart, giving up 292 yards passing and 220 rushing. They tackled Brady for a sack.
Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was impressive, racking up 100 receiving yards and one touchdown. Tight end Tim Wright also put together a noteworthy performance with 85 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The Bengals are at home to take on the Panthers (3-2) next week while the Patriots travel to Orchard Park to meet the Bills (3-2).
