Bemidji State beats Minnesota Morris behind 3 double-figure scorers

Nov. 18—BEMIDJI — The Bemidji State women's basketball team pulled away from Minnesota Morris down the stretch on Saturday at the BSU Gymnasium, using a 16-3 fourth-quarter advantage to power a 71-50 win.

The Beavers (2-1) led just 41-36 at the half and 55-47 after three quarters, but their finishing kick made all the difference.

BSU had three players score in double figures. Rachel Koenig and Alyssa Hill tied for the team lead with 11 points apiece, while Amme Sheforgen chipped in 10. Sam Pogatchnik added eight points, and Jana Swanson contributed seven.

Sheforgen and Pogatchnik each pulled down seven rebounds. Alayna Suprenand paced Bemidji State with seven assists.
