Bass Pro Shops and its joint venture continue to purchase vacation properties in the Branson area.

Branson Cedars Resort in Ridgedale − known for its luxury treehouse-style cabins − was recently purchased by Bluegreen/Big Cedar Vacations LLC, a joint venture with Bass Pro Shops that also owns nearby The Cliffs at Long Creek and Wilderness Club at Big Cedar resorts, as well as Paradise Point.

Bluegreen, a large vacation ownership company based in Boca Raton, Florida, announced the purchase but did not disclose financial details.

Patsy O'Keiffe and Jeannette Hyams are listed as co-owners owners of the Branson Cedar Resort under previous Better Business Bureau filings. They reportedly bought the property, a former golf course, in 2012 and turned into a 80-acre rustic retreat.

The resort dubs itself  "one of the MidWest’s premiere vacation destinations offering tree houses, log cabins and bungalows!"

Under new ownership, the resort plans to renovate the cottages, cabins, and treehouses.

Bluegreen also owns Falls Village in Branson in a separate venture.

“Bluegreen Vacations prides itself on providing unique, locally inspired resorts in iconic destinations, and we believe the Branson Cedars property is no exception,” the company said in a news release. “Our owners enjoy the great outdoors, and this area of the Midwest with Table Rock Lake and Dogwood Canyon nearby, continues to be in high demand among our members."
