Auburn athletics will soon leave Under Armour, partner with Nike as apparel provider

AUBURN — A new logo will soon appear on the jerseys of Auburn athletes.

The school has reached an agreement with Nike to be its new apparel provider, a source told the Montgomery Advertiser on Tuesday. Auburn later made it official with a video announcement and statement from athletics director John Cohen.

“We are excited to enter this new partnership with Nike, a brand that consistently champions athletes and sport around the world," Cohen said. "We are appreciative of their strong support throughout this process. We believe that our 10-year agreement, beginning in July 2025, will continue to elevate Auburn and best serve our student-athletes and our university moving forward.

“We are also grateful to (Under Armour founder and executive chairman) Kevin Plank and Under Armour for their 18 years of valued partnership in growing the Auburn brand and serving our student athletes, coaches, and fans. We look forward to the opportunity to celebrate this relationship throughout the final year ahead.”

Auburn has been under contract with Under Armour since 2006 and will be through June 2025, but the university entered an exclusive negotiating period Sept. 1 that allowed it to speak with other brands.
