Athlete of the Week: Milan's Maggie Smith tops in busy week
Erie Mason girls basketball player Makenna Gallaher collected 352 votes for Monroe County Region Athlete of the Week from March 25-31.
That would have been enough to win eight different times during the current school year.
But this was not a normal week.
With almost no high school sports on the schedules because of spring break, voters were asked to pick their favorite winner for the winter season.
