Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Don't rewind your clocks to the 1980s you have indeed just witnessed a Duran, Duran masterclass as the substitute scores twice to earn Aston Villa a huge point in a 3-3 draw with Liverpool. In an absolutely breathtaking clash, it was Liverpool who took the lead when Martinez's comedy own goal had Villa reeling. Tielemans equalised only for Gakpo to put the visitors back in front by the break. Quansah's brilliant header appeared to have put the game beyond Villa - whose xG of 3.36 was way better than the Reds' 1.73 - but there was to be a dramatic conclusion as two goals from Duran in the space of three minutes, not that he knew much about the second, had Villa Park bouncing. Villa still haven't quite got Champions League qualification in the bag but Tottenham have to win both of their remaining games and hope Villa slip up on the final day against Crystal Palace. Everyone go and have a nice lie down, that was absolutely breathless!
