Ashland High names new boys hockey coach

Ashland didn't go far to find its new boys ice hockey coach.

The Clockers announced Paul Cadenhead will lead the program this winter on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday.

Cadenhead is the new High School Business Teacher at Ashland, hired this August.

He previously was the junior varsity coach at Franklin in 2022 and also worked as a coach in Lexington. Cadenhead, a Connecticut native, played club hockey at UConn.

He also has experience as a youth hockey coach and as a learn to skate instructor.

The Clockers went 11-11 a season ago and reached the Division 4 Sweet 16.

Cadenhead will be replacing Mike Roman, who started at Ashland in 2009. He won more than 100 games for the Clockers.
