Army-Navy game score, updates, highlights from Black Knights' 2023 win vs. Midshipmen

The 124th edition of the Army-Navy matchup delivered precisely what it promised in 2023: a tenacious, hard-nosed football game culminating in a suspenseful finish.

A goal-line stand in the dying seconds of the game clinched a 17-11 Army victory and the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy for the Black Knights. The win came on the shoulders of quarterback Bryson Daily's 27 carries times for 84 yards. He also added one passing touchdown to senior running back Tyson Riley.

The Navy offense struggled for much of the first three quarters, but found a rhythm after trailing 17-3 late in the fourth quarter: The Midshipmen put up a touchdown drive in two minutes to pull them back in the game. Quarterback Tai Lavatai came in off the bench and loosened the Army defense with his ability to pass the ball, but came up just a yard short on the final quarterback sneak.
