Arkansas fails to receive any votes in AP Poll for first time this season

When things are going well for a team, that team’s fans will say polls don’t matter. But when things are going badly, the rankings are brought up.

Among the defeatists, anyway.

Regardless, Arkansas football isn’t lingering in the polls at all anymore. The Razorbacks didn’t pick up any votes in the US LBM Coaches Poll even last week following a loss to BYU, though they were still getting votes in the AP Poll. No longer.

Arkansas did not get a single Top-25 vote after falling to LSU on Saturday night, 34-31.

Next up for the Razorbacks is a team right there with the Hogs in Texas A&M. The Aggies were the bottom team in the AP Poll, a de facto No. 38, picking up five points worth of votes with Clemson.

Arkansas will have to play several ranked teams before the season is finished, too. Missouri was No. 23 in the latest AP Poll, Florida was No. 22, Ole Miss was No. 20 and Alabama was No. 12.

The top three spots didn’t change, as Georgia, Michigan and Texas stayed put.
