Will Arizona Wildcats' 'stripe out' vs. Oregon State football work? Fans have doubts
The Arizona Wildcats football team is attempting to "Stripe Out Arizona Stadium" in Saturday's game against Oregon State with fans encouraged to wear either white or red depending on the section they are sitting in for the game.
Some other football teams have done "stripe outs" in the past and it has the potential to make Arizona Stadium really look good if fans are on board with the idea and the execution of it.
The problem is, it is looking like a lot of Arizona fans might not be on board with the concept.
They took to social media to slam the Wildcats' stripe out idea for the game against the Beavers, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and which is scheduled to air on ESPN.
Do you think the idea will work for the Wildcats?
Many seem to have doubts.

I'm ok with it, but it doesn't get me juiced. UA should always push a Redout. Every game everytime. They need to make that commonplace, like Nebraska or Oklahoma. ZonaZoo looks great when it's filled and red. I also like white towels too.

It works more for basketball. I think football should be one straight color. 90 percent red and a blue out against red teams like Stanford.

I've been doing my own little Red Out for just about every game I've gone to since about 1982.
No need to overcomplicate it. We wear red. We ALL wear red.

Arizona fans never seem to be able to figure it out. It always looks like a normal crowd lol. Also is the game even sold out. I figured everyone would be at Halloween parties and not the game. Hope I’m wrong.

It would be easier if they actually sold some white football apparel/jersey’s. After this game it’s a white out next week. Two games of white for me. UA needs to put out more white apparel to make these things easier.

It doesn’t work. First, Tucson will be lucky to get 43k people to show up. So it would look spotty. And of the 43 or do, only like 60% will even care/know to do it.
