Arizona running back Orlando Bradford was dismissed from the team Wednesday after his arrest on multiple domestic violence-related charges.

The seven charges Bradford is facing are all felonies. Per the Arizona Republic, Bradford is facing four aggravated assault charges and three kidnapping charges for alleged offenses that occurred “over several days.” The running back was arrested after the alleged victim contacted authorities.

“Earlier today, we were made aware that Orlando Bradford had been arrested,” Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez said in a statement Wednesday. “As a result of his actions, he has been dismissed from the program.”

Bradford, a sophomore, ran for 208 yards in 2015 and had five carries in 2016. He even practiced with the team Wednesday until his dismissal after the team learned of the charges against him.

In Bradford’s absence, Arizona outlets expect freshman J.J. Taylor to be the team’s No. 2 running back. RB Nick Wilson leads the team with 41 carries for 254 yards through two weeks while quarterback Brandon Dawkins has 16 carries for 97 yards. Bradford was the only other player on the team with a rushing attempt.

The dismissed RB’s best career game came in 2015 when he had 83 yards and three scores vs. Oregon State.
