After the elation of winning of the Premier League at the first time of trying—and his fourth consecutive league title at club level—it’s been a difficult summer for Antonio Conte.
The fiery Chelsea manager has fallen out with his star striker Diego Costa, while feeling frustration as his club failed to bend to his wont in the transfer market. In the season opener against relegation candidate Burnley, the Blues were taken apart in humiliating fashion.
Here’s a fun fact: Four of the last six Premier League-winning managers did not last 12 months after lifting the trophy.
Three of them were Italian.
Two of them were at Chelsea.
