Amateur golf: Carlson, Blahosky earn Valley View club championships
Sep. 15—WILLMAR — Dustin Carlson and Markee Blahosky are the Valley View Golf Club champions for 2023.
Carlson shot rounds of 33, 35, 36, 38 and 39 last weekend to finish with a 181. That was 10 strokes better than second-place finisher Justin Wadsworth, who had a 191.
There were 62 participants in the men's tournament.
In the women's tournament, Blahosky shot rounds of 43 and 43 to finish with an 86. She finished ahead of second-place finisher Lisa Bjerke, who had rounds of 47 and 47 to end up with a 94.
There were 14 golfers entered in the women's division.
The senior men's club tournament champion is Bill Iverson, who had rounds of 34, 43 and 40 to end up with a 117. Daryl Pederson and Scott Schultz tied for second with final scores of 122.
