Alabama softball transfer tracker: Who's staying, leaving and joining?

Alabama softball season has wrapped up, seeing its season end in the Women's College World Series.

Alabama will be losing fifth-year seniors Montana Fouts, Ashley Prange and Ally Shipman. Next season will be the 28th season of Alabama softball with coach Patrick Murphy entering his 26th season.

Who is transferring out?

Aubrey Barnhart

Sophomore, Utility

Barnhart has entered the portal, the Tuscaloosa News learned on May 23. She appeared in four games during the 2023 season before Murphy told the media on February 28 that Barnhart would be taking a leave from softball. For her career, she has hit .175 in 40 at-bats, with four RBIs, appearing in 28 games and starting 13. Committed to Texas Tech per her Instagram.

Jordan Stephens

Sophomore, Outfield

Stephens entered the portal on Friday, June 9. She appeared in 75 games, starting 23 of them. She was a .214 hitter with 25 runs and 13 RBIs over two seasons. She appeared in 43 games last season, including 8 of the 12 post-season games.

Who is coming to Alabama?

Kayla Beaver

Central Arkansas, pitcher

In a much-needed move, the Crimson Tide brought in Kayla Beaver, an ace pitcher from Central Arkansas. Beaver holds a 1.52 ERA and 64 career wins. She holds opponents to a .209 batting average and has struck out 514 batters. The move was made official on June 7.
