Alabama softball score vs. Middle Tennessee State: Live updates from Tuscaloosa Regional final

Alabama softball will take on Middle Tennessee State on Sunday to continue its NCAA Tournament run at Rhoads Stadium.

The winner will advance to the Super Regional round but the Blue Raiders

The Crimson Tide earned the No. 5 overall seed and will host the Tuscaloosa Regional all weekend at Rhoads. The regional consists of Southland champion Central Arkansas, Conference USA champ Middle Tennessee State and Northeast Conference champ Long Island. There will be two games Friday, three on Saturday and up to two on Sunday.

The Crimson Tide (42-18) used an eight run fourth inning to beat Middle Tennessee State on Saturday to advance to the regional final. Alabama ace Montana Fouts left the SEC Tournament quarterfinals with an injured left knee and her status for the regional is unknown.

The Blue Raiders (41-19) rebounded from its loss to Alabama with a 3-0 win over Central Arkansas. Gretchen Mead pitched all seven innings and the Blue Raiders used all four hits to score runs.
