Alabama softball: Complete schedule for NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional
Alabama softball was awarded the No. 14 overall seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament Sunday night and will host a regional for the 19th-straight season at Rhoads Stadium.
The Crimson Tide will welcome USC Upstate, Southeastern Louisiana and Clemson in the Tuscaloosa regional. Alabama faces USC Upstate in its first game on Friday at 3:30 p.m. CT.
The regional tournament is double-elimination with two games in the opening round on Friday: 1-seed vs. 4-seed and 2-seed vs. 3-seed. The winners and losers of each matchup will play Saturday. The undefeated team will advance to the final, while the team with two losses is eliminated. Both teams that are 1-1 will play a second game on Saturday with the winner advancing to the final on Sunday. That team will have to beat the undefeated team twice to advance into Super Regionals.
