Alabama football schedule for 2024 is set: Here's who the Crimson Tide plays
All of the opponents are set for the 2024 Alabama football schedule.
The SEC announced matchups Wednesday with Texas and Oklahoma set to join the conference ahead of the 2024 season.
Alabama, which will have faced the Longhorns in 2022 and 2023, receives a matchup with the Sooners in 2024. Oklahoma is 3-2-1 all time against the Crimson Tide, but Alabama won the most recent matchup in 2018 in the Orange Bowl.
Alabama and all other SEC schools will each play an eight-game conference schedule in 2024 after university presidents voted unanimously for an eight-game conference schedule in the first year with the Sooners and Longhorns.
The possibility of moving to a nine-game conference schedule long-term will be reevaluated prior to the 2025 season.
"I know there are some issues going to nine games for future schedules that we've put together in terms of playing or trying to play two Power 5 schools each year along with the SEC schedule," Nick Saban said on June 2. "So I think eventually we'll probably move to more involvement and more SEC games. But I think this has happened so quickly, it's really hard to make a lot of changes that fast. Whatever it is, we're excited about the opportunity and challenges."
In the new model without divisions, the two teams with the best records will play for the SEC Championship Game.
Alabama already has its nonconference games set for 2024 with matchups against Western Kentucky, South Florida, Wisconsin and Mercer.
Here's a look at all 12 opponents for Alabama in 2024, in alphabetical order for SEC opponents. Official dates for the SEC games have not yet been announced.
