Both teams came into the evening with perfect 5-0 records in the league.

“Our boys team this year is super strong,” Hill said. “We have been working hard on making their spares which ultimately won us the match.

“Our team is actually a pretty young squad in the grand scheme of things. We have three seniors, three sophomores and two freshmen that are consistently in our lineup. We hope to be a strong team for many seasons to come.”

Airport started strong with a 10-0 lead after the Baker games.

“The team had a ton of energy and momentum after winning the first two Baker games and George really helped carry that through with his phenomenal 278 game,” Hill said.

Huron was led by Nick Suemnick (279-203/482), Hunter Wyszynski (251) and Brad Hughes 213. Zach McCormick and Nathan DeVita each won match points.

Huron will get another shot at the Jets soon.

“We face Huron again in a few weeks and we are definitely looking forward to playing them again,” Hill said. “My boys need to see tough competition to make them better. They need to see what it is to work hard and have to grind out spares in order to win.”
