Air Jordan 9 Powder Blue set to return in 2024
An iconic colorway of the Air Jordan 9 is set to return in 2024, and it features a Carolina Blue touch.
The Air Jordan 9 Power Blue, also known as the “UNC” colorway, will be released on March 23, per SneakerBarDetroit. The date pays homage to Jordan’s alma mater and the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 9 shoe.
This will mark the first time since 2010 this fan-favorite colorway will be available via retail, making it an already highly anticipated release.
The colorway features a white base with black and powder blue accents throughout. The Jumpman logo on the upper as well as the tongue, laces, and heel tab are all in black while blue is on the midsole, tongue, and branding.
This colorway was also featured in the iconic ad to promote the shoe featuring Jordan in his UNC uniform sitting on a basketball.

The shoe will be released in a run for men’s, grade school, preschool and toddler sizing.
