Admiral Schofield, former Tennessee basketball star, re-signs with Orlando Magic on two-way contract

Former Tennessee basketball forward Admiral Schofield re-signed with the Orlando Magic on a two-way contract, the team announced Thursday.

The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Schofield appeared in 37 games for the Magic last season and averaged 4.2 points in 12 minutes per game. His previous two-way deal with Orlando was boosted to a standard NBA contract in February. Schofield has played in 108 career NBA regular season games with the Washington Wizards and Orlando.

He was selected with the 42nd overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers of the 2019 NBA Draft. He was traded to the Wizards following the draft.

Schofield averaged 11.9 points and 5.3 rebounds in 132 games across four seasons with the Vols.

Schofield was an Associated Press All-America honorable mention and first-team All-SEC selection after his senior season. He averaged 16.5 points and 6.1 rebounds as a senior. He led UT with 74 3-pointers and shot 41.8% on 3-pointers as Tennessee matched a school-record 31 wins.

The Zion, Illinois, native went through the NBA Draft process following his junior season in which he averaged 13.9 points and 6.4 rebounds. He proved himself an NBA prospect with a fantastic final month as Tennessee raced to a share of the SEC title.

Schofield ranks in the top 10 in Tennessee history for made 3-pointers (184) and 3-point percentage (.387).

Schofield was the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA G-League Draft. He has played in 54 career G-League regular season games (50 starts) with Capital City, Greensboro and Lakeland.
