ACC Baseball Tournament: Live updates, scores from baseball championship in Durham

The 2023 ACC baseball tournament begins Tuesday at Durham Bulls Athletic Park and a champion will be crowned Sunday.

Four teams will advance from the pool-play format into a single-elimination bracket to determine the league winner.

Wake Forest (45-9), the top-ranked squad in the country, is in Pool A with eighth-seeded Notre Dame (30-22) and 12th-seeded Pitt (23-30).

North Carolina (33-21), the reigning ACC Tournament champion, is the No. 7 seed in Pool B with second-seeded Virginia (44-11) and No. 11 Georgia Tech (30-25). No. 5 Duke (35-19) and No. 9 NC State (34-18) are in Pool D with fourth-seeded Miami (37-18).

ANOTHER NC TEAM: Campbell baseball in the College World Series? Don't count out the Camels

After each team in the four pools play against each other Tuesday through Friday, the teams with the best record in each pool will advance to Saturday’s semifinals. If the teams in pool play have the same record, the squad with the highest seed in the pool will advance.

Game times Tuesday through Friday are set for 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 (ACC Network). Saturday’s semifinals are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 5 (ACC Network) and Sunday’s title game is set to start at noon (ESPN2).
