49ers Beat Chiefs, 22-17
Frank Gore had a big day for the offense, leading the way to a win for the 49ers against the Chiefs, 22-17, at home.
Colin Kaepernick completed the game 14 for 26 with 201 yards passing, one touchdown and no interceptions. Alex Smith went 17 of 31 with 175 yards passing, two touchdowns and one pick for the Chiefs.
Gore was a standout player for the 49ers, rushing for 107 yards on 18 attempts. Anquan Boldin caught four passes for 72 yards.
The San Francisco defense also played a big role in the victory, giving up 90 yards rushing and 175 passing.
Finally, Phil Dawson was perfect, connecting on all five of his field goal attempts.
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles had a big day with 80 yards rushing.
The 49ers head to St. Louis next week to face off with the Rams (1-3) while the Chiefs travel to San Diego to play the Chargers (3-1).
