4-star Peach State CB locks in official dates with Florida

The Florida Gators are getting Parkview (Lilburn, Georgia) cornerback Jalyn Crawford back on campus for an official visit from June 2-4, according to Gators Online.

Crawford first visited the Swamp at the beginning of the month, which is when he received a scholarship offer, and the Gators have stayed on him since. A good impression has gone a long way and Florida seems to be in Crawford’s top three programs at this point.

Getting him back for an official visit should help both sides decide how serious they are about one another.

“It’s gonna be real big for them,” Crawford said. “I really like them down there. I saw good things. And talking to Coach Napier, he’s a good dude. A lot of good vibes and good people down there.”

Defensive backs coach Corey Raymond is another staff member Crawford appreciates thanks to the many players he’s sent to the NFL, plenty as first-rounders.

Auburn and LSU might be the only other schools competing with Florida at this point for Crawford’s services. He has official visits scheduled for each of his top three, with Auburn getting him on June 9 and LSU on June 16. Both programs have hosted him a good amount, but Auburn is considered the favorite right now.

The plan is for Crawford to commit after his official visits. He figures it will be near the end of July, but that sounds like a loose timeline.

Crawford is ranked No. 135 nationally on the On3 industry rankings and No. 16 among cornerbacks in the class of 2024. 247Sports is even higher on him, ranking him at No. 93 overall and No. 9 among those at his position on the Top 247.
