A 39-point outburst + more: Vote for the High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week

Abington High's Ella Williamson has been voted the High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week.

The senior received over 20,000 votes to earn the honor. Williamson scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a 55-38 win over Martha's Vineyard.

And this week's candidates are...

Megan Doyle, Sr., Weymouth: Doyle posted a career-high 33 points to go with 10 rebounds in a 70-44 win over Silver Lake. She also posted a double-double (19 points, 17 rebounds) in a 58-34 win over Silver Lake in Quincy's holiday tournament final.

Orlando sisters, Notre Dame Academy: The sisters combined for 44 points in a 62-52 win over Hingham. Ava scored 21 while Elle had 23.

Alissa Marcella, Soph., Pembroke: Marcella scored a career-high 27 points in a 54-51 win over Abington.

Maddie Oliver, Jr., Norwell: Oliver had a pair of big games in wins over Wellesley (23 points, 8 rebounds) and Scituate (21 points).

Sunali Carter, Sr., Brockton: Carter stuffed the stat sheet in a 58-16 win over Cardinal Spellman with 16 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals.

Aivry Devoy, Jr., Archbishop Williams: Devoy scored 21 points in a 52-48 win over Cohasset.

Lilly Blow, Sr., Fontbonne Academy: Blow had 22 points and 11 rebounds as the Ducks defeated East Bridgewater, 52-50, in overtime.

Margot Harper, Jr., Hull: Harper scored 39 points in a win over Avon.

Reese Bartlett, Sr., Bridgewater-Raynham: Bartlett finished with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in a 44-25 win over Brookline.

Hailey Bassett, Sr., Millis: The power forward had 11 points and 11 rebounds to earn tourney MVP honors as Millis (5-1) won the first-annual Millis Holiday Hoops Tournament with a 53-25 victory over Maynard. Bassett scored 15 points and pulled down 10 boards in a 42-23 opening-round win over Uxbridge.

Rachel Carpenter, Jr., Westborough: Carpenter totaled 28 points (12 in first game, 16 in second game) in a pair of losses in the Mary Korbey Invitational in Hopkinton.

Bethel Flanagan, Sr., + Teagan Resteghini, Soph., Hopkinton: The guard Flanagan had a great defensive performance and earned Mary Korbey Initational Tournament MVP after the Hillers (3-2) earned a 33-21 win over Milford in the final. Resteghini, also a guard, led all scorers with 14 points in the win. Resteghini also scored 16 points in the first-round game, a 54-37 win over Westborough, while Flanagan added 10.

Sophie Hjerpe, Sr., + Ashlee Dameri, Soph., Algonquin: Dameri collected 15 points and six assists, and Hjerpe (13 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals) was named to the all-tournament team as the Titans defeated Westborough, 59-39, in the Mary Korbey Invitational Tournament consolation game in Hopkinton.

Avery O’Connell, Sr., Dover-Sherborn: O’Connell scored 12 points with 11 rebounds in a 57-33 win for the Raiders over Dennis-Yarmouth.

Sarah Poland, Soph., Lincoln-Sudbury: Poland led the Warriors with 19 points and eight rebounds in a 48-41 win over Nashoba and scored 10 points in a loss to Needham.

Bridget Pole, Fr., Natick: Pole led the way with 15 points in a 67-30 win over Haverhill, and scored nine points in a loss to North Andover.

Neila Schweitzer, Fr., Tri-County: Schweitzer led the way with 14 points as the Cougars defeated Cape Cod Tech, 46-25.
