35-point explosion among Nashville area Large Class boys basketball athlete of week choices

The TSSAA boys basketball season is almost halfway over.

Vote for the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries Nashville area Large Class boys basketball athlete of the week. There were some huge performances from Week 7, Dec. 11-16.

Nominees are from Class 3A, 4A and Division II-AA.

Voting will close Friday at noon.

Mason Brown, Central Magnet: Brown scored 29 points in a 76-61 win over Knox Fulton. He also had 11 points in a 67-43 loss to Clarksville Academy and 20 in a 67-64 loss to Trinity Christian Academy.

Cade Bennerman, Father Ryan: Bennerman scored 19 points in a 70-63 loss against Green Hill.

Charlie Lynch, Father Ryan: Lynch also scored 19 points against Green Hill.

Kenny Ellis, Green Hill: Ellis scored 35 points against Father Ryan. He also had 14 points in a 34-30 win over Blackman.

Tucker Miller, Livingston Academy: Miller scored 23 points in a 78-53 win over Huntland. He also had 25 points in a 70-39 win over Monterey.

Towan Siler II, Wilson Central: Siler had 16 points in a 47-46 win over Livingston Academy.
