420-yard, 6-TD passing performance among Nashville area Small Class boys athlete of week choices

It’s time to crown another La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries Small Class boys athlete of the week. There were big Nashville area football performances as the regular season came to a close in Week 11.

The candidates are below. Voting will close Thursday at noon.

Montae Baldwin, Columbia Academy: He rushed for 238 yards and two touchdowns for Columbia Academy in a 49-14 win over Grace Christian.

Connor Rosson, Columbia Academy: He was 12-of-19 for 218 yards, four touchdowns and an interception against Grace Christian.

Harrison Brownlee, Columbia Academy: He had five catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns against Grace Christian. He also had a rushing TD.

Mitchell Carey, DCA: He was 20-of-26 passing for 254 yards and three touchdowns and ran for two more touchdowns in a 35-17 win over Nashville Christian.

Isaiah Groves, East Robertson:  He rushed for 197 yards and two TDs on just six carries last week in a 62-14 win over Jackson County. He also scored on an 80-yard kickoff return.

Elijah Groves, East Robertson: He caught two passes for 58 yards and a touchdown and returned an interception 74 yards for a score.

Tyson Wolcott, Friendship Christian: He rushed for 197 yards and four TDs on 12 carries in a 49-7 win over King’s Academy.

Bentley Kelsey, Lewis County: He caught four passes for 103 yards and two TDs in a 48-13 win over Waverly.

Brian Rager, Liberty Creek: He was 14-of-16 passing for 183 yards and three touchdowns and had seven carries for 93 yards and two touchdowns for Liberty Creek in a 48-20 win over Wayne County.

Mason Tidwell, Loretto: He was 18-of-21 passing for 272 yards and four touchdowns and had 10 carries for 65 yards in a 56-52 win over Mt. Pleasant.

Corben Reynolds, Loretto: He had 11 catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns against Mt. Pleasant.

Dawson White, Moore County: White was 14-of-19 for 227 yards and two touchdowns for Moore County in a 49-13 win over Richland. He also rushed for 77 yards and three TDs.

Eli Wilson, MTCS: He totaled 206 yards and three touchdowns in a 51-7 win over Ezell-Harding.

Nick Brown, Mt. Pleasant: Brown was 17-of-27 passing for 420 yards with six TDs and two interceptions in a 56-52 loss to Loretto.

Riley Martin, Smith County: He was 14-of-19 passing for 251 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in a 31-7 win over Monterey. He also ran three times for 45 yards.

Myles Leffew, York Institute: He had 22 carries for 197 yards and two touchdowns and was 7-of-9 passing for 86 yards with a touchdown and an interception in a 40-12 win over Polk County.
