The 2024 men's college hockey transfer portal tracker

Mar. 18—GRAND FORKS — The transfer portal is going to play a major role in shaping college hockey teams for the 2024-25 season.

This page will track men's college hockey player movement during the 2024 offseason, following players who have committed to new programs and those who have entered the transfer portal and are still available. Sources are linked.

Graduating students can enter the portal at any time. The window for non-graduates to enter the portal is March 31 to May 14. Exceptions are if there's a head coaching change or if the player's aid is reduced. Players can commit up until school begins. Due to pending litigation,

multiple-time transfers who enter the portal

during the window will be eligible immediately.

Note: There are a handful of players who entered the portal in 2023 and did not play hockey this season. They're listed at the bottom of the 2023 transfer board. Some of them still have eligibility left and could join a team for next season, though it is rare a player gets picked up after sitting out a full year.
