2024 5-Star DL David Stone is will announce his commitment on Saturday, Aug. 26

Do you believe in miracles? Well, if not, you’re likely living in reality when it comes to 2024 five-star defensive tackle David Stone Jr., who, after a long and winding recruiting road, the game-breaking defender is set to announce his commitment on Saturday, Aug. 26, and believe it or not, Texas A&M is still in contention.

According to 247Sports Composite, Stone is currently positioned as the 6th-ranked player in the 2024 cycle, the 2nd-ranked defensive lineman, and the 3rd-ranked player in Florida, as he is set to embark on his final senior campaign at the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Stone is still a favorite to land with Oklahoma after his recent OV to the Sooners in June. However, after Michigan State hosted the Oklahoma native on June 23, don’t count out the Spartans, who have received several predictions in their favor.

Stone’s relationship with Jimbo Fisher and his staff has remained solid for the Aggies due to their standing in his final program list. However, his last unofficial visit to College Station was in early March, so there’s a reason why we haven’t heard a ton regarding the Maroon and White ahead of Saturday’s commitment.

Stone will choose between Oklahoma, Michigan State, Florida, Miami, Oregon, and Texas A&M on Saturday, which will air on ESPN 2.
