2023 LSU Tigers Snapshot Profile: No. 23 Kylin Jackson

Going into the 2023 football season, LSU Wire will be looking at each player listed on the Tigers’ roster.

Over the preseason, each profile will cover where the player is from, how recruiting websites rated them coming out of high school, and what role they will play for Brian Kelly this season.

We’re looking at more true freshmen on the defensive side of the ball, this time Zachary, Louisiana, safety Kylin Jackson. The highest-rated safety signee in the 2023 class and top-250 national prospect should provide much-needed depth in the defensive backfield and could also play a role on special teams in 2023.

Depth Chart Overview

A borderline top-10 recruit in the state of Louisiana depending on which service you look at, Jackson was one of LSU’s top additions in this offseason’s signing class.

LSU’s starting safety duo appears to be set, but players like Jackson and fellow true freshman safety Ryan Yaites could push returning players like Matthew Langlois and Jordan Allen for a backup spot.
