Kings Mountain football standout named Gastonia, Shelby Fan’s Choice Player of the Year
After weeks of voting, Kings Mountain football standout Jayden Gash emerged as 2023 The Gaston Gazette and Shelby Star Fans Choice Player of the Year.
Gash received 41.7% of 37,020 votes, outpacing Crest’s Cam Anderson (18.5%), Kings Mountain teammate Teddy Jeffries (15.3%) and Bessemer City’s Mason Chastain (15.3%).
Through four games, Gash has 11 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown. Last Friday at Hunter Huss, he finished with four receptions for 69 yards in the Mountaineers’ 41-0 win.
Kings Mountain is 4-0 heading into a Week 6 matchup with North Gaston.
