2023 Fearless Free Press Football Forecast: Here are the championship picks
Vermont high school and college football returned Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, which means it's once again time to resume the annual Fearless Free Press Football Forecast.
Our prognosticators are ready to take on the weekly assignment of looking like geniuses or fools.
The Free Press' Alex Abrami and Jacob Rousseau welcome the return of nearly everyone for Year 28 of the Forecast, including Northeast Sports Network's George Commo, Caledonian-Record's Michael Beniash, Jack Fitzsimmons of WCAX, Adam Aucoin and Tom Haley of the Rutland Herald, Michael Mawson of the Bennington Banner, Jack Main of MyNBC5 and Taylor Viles of Local 22/Local 44.
Beniash raced to his first Free Press Football Forecast title last year with a 141-29 record, six games better than Haley and Commo's second-place honors.
But this is a new year and bragging rights are meant to be stolen.
