It all happened as we thought

The 2022 Mountain West title game is set and it took a winding road to get there with some uncertainty, and it will be Fresno State traveling to Boise State for the conference title game.

Early in the year it didn’t seem this would be the case as Boise State lost to UTEP and then they made a move with Dirk Koetter taking over for Tim Plough.

Since that move, the Broncos turned things around, and outside of the BYU loss, they went undefeated in conference play with one game left hosting Utah State.

Fresno State took care of business over Nevada to win 41-14 to clinch the West Divison. The Bulldogs had issues as well this year when Jake Haener has hurt during the USC game and was out for a few weeks.

During that time away, Fresno State lost to UConn in a shocker and was blown out by Boise State and things looked lost for the Bulldogs.

Haener came back and won every game he started in conference play. The final regular season game for Fresno State next week is a tough game against  Wyoming.

These two teams are exactly who we had way back in July during the preseason with Boise State taking on Fresno State for the conference title game and it should be a good one.
