Sports, regardless of which, are mostly remembered for inspirational wins and crushing losses. But athletics and fashion can sometimes come together at a beautiful crossroads and create some legendary looks on the field for us that we won’t soon forget.

Here are List Wire’s 15 picks for best jerseys in professional sports…

New York Yankees

The No. 1 shirt for pinstripes and don’t you dare put a last name on the back. Love ’em or hate ’em, the Yankees have an all-time look on the diamond.

Los Angeles Lakers

Winning helps and the Lakers have done plenty of that. But you don’t always see purple and yellow making a classic look, and it does in L.A.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Black and yellow with the unique helmet that has the team logo only on the one side for the Steelers. Plus, shoutout to Pittsburgh for having all their pro teams sport the same color scheme.

Boston Celtics

A nickname and logo can help bring a color scheme to life. That’s what the Celtics have going on for their uniforms that… you can’t really imagine looking any different than they already do.

Brazilian National Team

With the World Cup just around the corner, if there’s one color you think of, it’s the yellow and green of Brazil. It’s so iconic, it’s hard to remember the team actually having two kits.

San Diego Chargers

Powder blue, that bolt, the yellow pants. Something about those together on a football field, specifically. The Chargers just have a fantastic look they should never go away from.

Las Vegas Raiders

There’s only one “Silver and Black.” It’s the Raiders. Despite their colors being… pretty basic, it’s a uniform we all know in the United States. Bonus points for the “Black Hole” getting involved in the color scheme, too.

Los Angeles Dodgers

Historically, the Dodgers have a fresh, clean, and classic look. When you think of West Coast baseball, the Dodgers come right to mind. But their look originated in Brooklyn, and the club never strayed away from that. Nowadays, that’s a quick change when a team moves.

Montreal Canadiens

Speaking of staying the same, look for the Canadiens’ uniform from the 1910s or 1920s. They look iconic and the same. They Habs’ image has withstood the test of time.

Barcelona FC

It’s hard to nail down club soccer looks. As it goes, they change every year. But undoubtedly the “El Clásico” is the top football matchup in Europe every year. While Real Madrid look crisp in their white kit, many teams dawn a similar style. There’s really only one Barcelona red and blue.

New York Rangers

The Rangers, also known as the “Blue shirts…”

When your team nickname is based off your look, you’re doing it right. The Rangers, similar to the Canadiens, are an originally-six team with a longtime style. The diagonal name is a nice final touch.

Manchester United

“The Reds” actually are not Manchester United. Their rivals, Liverpool, hold that title. But the “Red Devils” at Man U have a stranglehold on the red tops in Europe. All that winning helps, too.

Arizona Coyotes

Named the “Kachina coyote” logo, the Arizona Coyotes do not have a storied history behind their uniforms. But c’mon, when you look at that sweater, how cool is that? So different in the best possible way and it was a crime the team took these away from us for a time.

Dallas Cowboys

Finally, it’s “America’s Team” and just like the way we started this, you might hate them, but you know that classic Cowboys white jersey.
