Those of you who believe in the Madden Curse will be pleased to learn that the Madden people are considering spreading their misery even further by putting two people on the cover. The duo they're considering, according to azcentral.com, would be Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu.

If it were to happen, it would mark the first time that the two have shared a cover since they appeared together on the October 2007 cover of "We Wear Our Hair Like Pretty Girls Monthly."

I kid, I kid. They're both dapper fellows and they have the masculine locks of Samson.

Chris Littmann at First Cuts still believes that it's going to be Ben Roethlisberger on the cover, and that's a very solid guess. I think Adrian Peterson also has to be in the mix for consideration, and if it were up to me, I'd put Philip Rivers on the cover. Against the background of a clear blue sky, shirtless, and glistening in the baby oil that he's rubbing on the chest.

But that's just me, and I don't believe in the Madden Curse. If I had to wager on it, Fitzgerald really seems like the perfect candidate. He made himself a household name in the postseason, he's clean-cut, likable in every way, and will probably never be hotter than he is right now.

Most of that applies to Polamalu, too, and it would be nice to get some defense on the cover again.

And it would all play very nicely into the hot new feature in Madden this year, "Let's Brush Each Other's Hair Mode."

Gracias, First Cuts.

For those that play Fantasy Football, never draft anyone on the cover. Crazy but true. After the third time it happened to me I stopped. The biggest was loosing the MVP Alexander after the first game of that season.

This kind of bugs me. Why is Drew Brees not being considered for the cover? 16 yards away from the single season record, and they're not even considering him? I'm certain that if he had gotten it, he would be a shoe in for the cover I would think, but seriously, why not him?

Chad Pennington: two-time comeback player of the year!
If there IS a curse, then they should put three players on the cover: Adrian Peterson, Jay Cutler, and Aaron Rodgers.
If there IS NOT a curse, then they should put Calvin Johnson on the cover. SANDRATRON, baby!
    GO LIONS!

i could careless who they put on the cover, the franchise has been a disappointment on the current next-gen systems.
the gameplay was better during the PS2 era.

I would have a bit of a problem if Big Ben gets the cover. As GOOD, and I emphasize good, a QB as Ben is, he isn't even in the same class as Manning, Brady, Brees. Nor is he better at what he does than say Fitzgerald or Troy Polamalu. Bust that! Ben is a good quarterback on a great defensive team. If the Madden cover selection is based on a season icon player, you can't beat Fitzgerald.

Another strong idea would be Eli Manning on the cover, but I have a feeling Archie might make him hold out until a new game comes along with better developers.
