Shutdown Corner - NFL

As it turns out, huffing off in a snit after a loss is not a habit that Bill Belichick has developed recently. He's done it before, as recently as the last Super Bowl, and as this video dug up by Kissing Suzy Kolber demonstrates, he's been that way for quite some time:

Wow. Outclassed by Greg Lloyd. That takes some doing.

But there's still a part of me that believes in the old Vince Lombardi saying, "You show me a good loser, and I'll show you a loser." Does behavior like this make Belichick a large bag of warm vinegar and water? Yes. But that attitude is not completely unrelated to other qualities that make him a great coach.

Stuff like this just makes me laugh because Belichick was considered by the media and fans as the best coach in the NFL and passed Lombardi as the greatest of all time. The Patriots were considered by the media and fans as America's team, the blueprint for sucess, and the class of the NFL. Then with the sucess of three Superbowls in four years and the b.s. surrounding spygate, Belichick and the Patriots had become hated. Look I don't support what Belichick was accused of but lets be real, EVERY team in the NFL has viewed the opposing team's signals or plays and cheated in one way or another. It just so happens that the Patriots were caught and with the animosity towards the Patriots organization and thier sucess, spygate was way overblown for what it really was.

By the way, Belichick did acknowledge and congratulated the Giants at the immediate conclusion of the game and in the post game interviews after the last superbowl. If you didn't hold any bias against him and actually watched the game then you'd know that. The confetti was going off and Belichick shook hands with Coughlin at midfield before the refs for whatever reason decided to clear the field and have Eli Manning run off the last second with a kneel down. Of course the media and Belichick haters wanted to potray it as if Belichick walked off without acknowleding the Giants.

greenfort17.allow mw to add that the NFL as a whole is behaving because of what happened with the Patriots. Nobody wants to be (rightly so or otherwise)the poster boy.

He has always been a sore loser, but in reality a coach should be they are paid to win. I hate the patriots and wish they would go down the tube. Lombardi is still the greatest coach in history. And no matter how you look at it the Giants are the champs even if they should have never escaped Green Bay.

What makes Lombardi the greatest coach in history? There have been and still are a lot of coaches who could be considered thre greatest,
As far as your "wish",well how does it feel to wish? This great franchise is going to be winning for awhile longer. Brady does it with or without great recievers. The only thing we agree on is the Giants are the champs.
